On 6 July 2025, the faithful of the Mavelikara Diocese gathered with hearts full of joy and reverence to welcome their shepherd, His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Mathews Mor Polycarpos, at the Punnamoodu Cathedral. This gracious reception followed closely upon the solemn enthronement celebrated at the Mavelikara Major Archiepiscopal Cathedral, marking the beginning of a new chapter under the guidance of their newly appointed Metropolitan Archbishop.
The Cathedral overflowed with a spirit of unity and gratitude as the Divine Liturgy was offered in honour of Mor Polycarpos, who now stands as a steadfast guardian of the flock.
