Gurgaon – 23 March 2025
What the world often calls “a programme” is, for the Church, an expression of life itself. Thus, Karmapath 2025–26—the mission initiative of the Malankara Catholic Association (MCA), Gurgaon Diocese—was not simply launched, but prayerfully inaugurated, in the presence of shepherds and faithful alike. The event unfolded as a collective commitment to witness and service in the Diocese of St John Chrysostom, Gurgaon.
The official inauguration was led by Shri Anto Antony MP, whose support for ecclesial and social initiatives has long been recognised, and His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mor Anthonios OIC, Bishop of the Eparchy of St John Chrysostom, Gurgaon. In an atmosphere steeped in prayer and purpose, the curtain rose on a new pastoral year guided by faith and fraternity.
Present on the occasion were Shri Baiju S.R., Global President of the Malankara Catholic Association, Shri Reji Thomas, President of the Gurgaon Diocesan MCA, and Shri Varghese Mammen, Sabhathala Executive Member, whose leadership continues to energise the MCA’s mission of service and unity.
Representing the spiritual strength of the Diocese, Very Rev. Fr. Varghese Vallikatt, Vicar General, and Very Rev. Fr. Varghese Vinayanand O.I.C., joined in the occasion, along with numerous priests, religious, and laity. Smt. Marykutty was also present, offering her prayers and participation.
The event stood not as a spectacle but as a sacred promise—a path of action (karma) guided by prayerful discernment and ecclesial commitment. Karmapath, after all, is not merely a theme for the year, but a reminder that our actions flow from the altar of grace and into the byways of the world.
As we look ahead to the fruits of this initiative, we do so under the intercession of our patron saints and with the conviction that service rooted in faith is the surest road to unity and holiness.
