In an inspirational event held under the auspices of Aboon Joseph Mar Thomas of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church, the Bathery Diocese witnessed the grand celebration of International Women’s Day and the inauguration of the Youth Year at the Shreyas Auditorium in Bathery. The event, themed “Let Her Soar,” was organized by the MCYM of the Bathery Diocese, placing the spotlight on the empowerment of women and the encouragement of young women entrepreneurs.
The gathering was a kaleidoscope of recognition and festivity, as the achievements of women entrepreneurs were celebrated. It was a day to acknowledge the strides women have made in various fields, particularly in business, where they continue to break ceilings and contribute significantly to the economy and society.
Additionally, the event marked the ceremonial beginning of the Youth Year, which promises to focus on nurturing the skills, talents, and spiritual growth of the young members of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church. It was an affirmation of the Church’s commitment to its youth, recognising their pivotal role in shaping the future of the community.
The event underscored the Church’s vision for a society where women and youth are not only acknowledged for their contributions but are also provided with platforms to excel and lead. Through such initiatives, the Bathery Diocese continues to foster a spirit of equality and progress within the community, aligning with its core values of inclusivity and empowerment.
