Bathery, February 2, 2024 – The Bethany Congregation of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church mourns the loss of Sister C. Tabitha SIC, a revered member of the Bathery Province, who passed away today, February 2, 2024, at the age of 80. The religious community and faithful are deeply saddened by her departure, marking the end of a life dedicated to service and faith.
The mortal remains of Sister C. Tabitha were brought to the Moolankavu Convent Chapel at 2:30 PM today for the faithful to pay their last respects. The funeral services are scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM on February 3, 2024, at the same chapel, under the principal celebrancy of His Beatitude the Catholicos and in the presence of the Bishop of Bathery, His Excellency Joseph Mar Thomas.
Sister C. Tabitha SIC’s life was a testament to her unwavering commitment to God and her community. Her years with the Bethany Congregation were marked by devout service and an enduring dedication to the values of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church.
