The Bethany Congregation received the sad news of the passing of Rev. Fr Chacko Philip Nariolimuruppel OIC of the Aluva Navajyothi Province. He died on 22 November, aged 71, leaving behind a long span of pastoral work marked by quiet dedication to the Bethany tradition.
The funeral rites were held on 24 November at the Bethany Ashram, Thiruvalla. The service was led by His Grace Most Rev. Dr Thomas Mar Koorilos, Metropolitan Archbishop of the Archieparchy of Tiruvalla. His Excellency Most Rev. Dr Antony Mar Silvanos, Bishop of the Major Archiepiscopal Curia, concelebrated.
The gathering reflected the affection and respect Fr Chacko had earned across the years. His service to the Congregation, steady and unadorned, shaped many communities and touched countless lives. The prayers offered at the Ashram honoured a priest who lived his vocation with clarity, humility, and consistency.
He is remembered with gratitude by the Bethany family and by all who encountered his quiet strength in ministry.
