With deep sorrow yet profound gratitude, the Bethany SIC Religious Congregation of the Pathanamthitta Province mourns the passing of Sister Humilina SIC, a devoted member of their community, who departed to eternal rest at the age of 87.
The sacred funeral rites will be solemnly conducted on Friday, 11 July 2025, beginning at 3:00 PM. Preparations for the final journey of Sister Humilina’s mortal remains will commence early that day, with the body being brought to the Provincial House at 6:30 AM.
The Holy Qurbono will be celebrated with reverence by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Mathews Mor Pachomios, assisted by Very Rev. Fr. Geevarghese Mathew Kuttiyil OIC, Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mor Anthonios, His Excellency Most Rev. Yoohanon Mor Chrysostom, His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Mathews Mor Polycarpos, Rt. Rev. Fr. Jose Chamakalayil Remban, and other clergy.
The funeral procession will proceed from the seminary church to the cemetery chapel, where the interment will take place with solemn prayers and in the company of more than two hundred faithful, united in sorrow and hope.
Sister Humilina’s life was marked by humble service, steadfast faith, and loving dedication to her vocation. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched through her commitment to prayer and community.
May the Lord grant rest to her soul among the saints and consolation to all who mourn her departure.
