It is with profound sadness that the Syro Malankara Catholic Church announces the passing of a cherished member of the Daughters of Mary, St. Mary’s Province, Sister Salomi DM. Sister Salomi, aged 79, passed away in the early hours of the morning on May 8, 2024. She belonged to the 1971 batch and dedicated her life to the service of the Church and its community.
Public Viewing and Final Rites
The community will have an opportunity to pay their final respects to Sister Salomi at Anjal Bhavan, where her body will lie in state until 6 PM this evening. Following this, her body will be transferred to the Pongumood Provincial House at approximately 8 PM.
The funeral services will be conducted under the principal officiation of Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos. These rites are scheduled for the afternoon of May 9, 2024, at 2 PM, where the church community will gather to bid farewell to a soul who served with love, dedication, and unwavering faith.
