Priestly Ordination Ceremony in Mavelikara Eparchy

On 27th December 2024, the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church Mavelikara Eparchy celebrated the ordination of three deacons into the priesthood, marking a significant spiritual milestone for the Church. The ceremony took place at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Mavelikara, in the presence of faithful clergy, families, and the laity, who gathered to witness and celebrate this sacred event.

Newly Ordained Priests

The following deacons were ordained to the sacred priesthood, committing their lives to the service of Christ and His Church:

• Rev. Fr. Zachariah Puthenpurackal
• Rev. Fr. Antony Kuttickattu (Bennet Thomas)
• Rev. Fr. Jerin Thundil

These three priests, through their ordination, have embraced a lifelong mission to shepherd their communities with faith, compassion, and dedication.

The ordination ceremony was led by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Joshua Mor Ignathios, Bishop of Mavelikara Eparchy.
