The Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in the United Kingdom reached a meaningful milestone on Monday, 30th September 2024, with the inauguration of its 22nd mission in the picturesque town of Blackpool. The inaugural ceremony, held at Holy Family Catholic Church (FY1 2RU), marked the establishment of the Blackpool Syro-Malankara Catholic Mission, providing a fresh foundation for the faithful in the area.
The Holy Qurbono was led by His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mor Koorilos, Metropolitan Archbishop of Tiruvalla, serving as the Chief Celebrant. He was joined by Rev. Dr. Kuriakose Thadathil, the ecclesiastical coordinator, and several other clergy from across the UK. The service brought the community together in a moment of deep reflection and spiritual connection, offering a source of hope and inspiration for the growing Syro-Malankara faithful in Blackpool.
