On the bright morning of 8th June 2025, the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM) of the London Region gathered at St. Joseph Syro Malankara Catholic Church, Dagenham, to inaugurate their 2025 Action Plan and conduct the oath ceremony of the newly elected Executive Committee. This solemn occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Yoohanon Mor Theodosius, the Eparchial Bishop of Muvattupuzha, whose spiritual guidance uplifted the entire assembly.
His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Yoohanon Mor Theodosius solemnly released the Karmapath entitled “Arche”, signalling the commencement of a year devoted to the harmonious integration of prayer, service, and personal growth. This initiative stands as a beacon for the youth, inviting them to journey steadfastly in faith and action, nurturing their spiritual lives alongside their communal responsibilities.
The atmosphere was charged with a sense of dedication as the Karmapath was unveiled, inspiring the young faithful to embrace their spiritual path with renewed zeal and commitment. The theme underscored the profound necessity of walking the path of faith not as mere obligation but as a heartfelt vocation.
The executive team extended their deepest gratitude to His Excellency for honouring the event with his presence. Appreciation was also conveyed to Rev. Dr. Kuriakose Thadathil, Special Pastor and Ecclesiastical Coordinator, Fr. Jibu Mathew, Director of MCYM, Fr. Johnson Pezhumkkoottathil O.I.C., Director of MCYM London Region, and Fr. Kuriakose Thiruvalil, Parish Vicar and Director of Suviseshasangam. Their spiritual leadership and pastoral care remain pillars supporting the youth movement.
The committee also acknowledged the invaluable support of the National Council Members, Mrs. Jubi Renjit and Mr. Rocky Chempothinal, Animators of MCYM London Region, along with all committee members, MCYM members of East London Mission, and the parishioners whose collective prayers and encouragement continue to nurture the flourishing of this vibrant community.
The MCYM London Region looks forward to walking the 2025 year with renewed enthusiasm, united in their mission to live and witness the Gospel with joyful hearts and unwavering faithfulness.
