The Darshana Convention Centre, developed under the Muvattupuzha Diocese of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, was inaugurated in Vilangannoor, marking a significant milestone for the local community. The event was led by Kerala’s Minister for Revenue and Housing, Mr. Krishnankutti Rajan, who formally opened this new space dedicated to bringing people together.
The ceremony took place under the patronage of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Yoohanon Mor Theodosius, Bishop of Muvattupuzha, who offered his blessings on the gathering. His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Abraham Mor Julios delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the centre’s role in fostering community spirit. Other notable attendees included Vicar General Fr. Thomas Njarakkattu, Panchayath President Mr. P. P. Raveendran, Panchayath Opposition Leader Mr. Babu Thomas, and ward members Mr. Shaiju Kurian, Mr. K. P. Chackochen, Ms. Reshma Sajeesh, along with Puthoor Panchayath member Mr. Shaji Varapetti.

Spanning 9,500 square feet, the Darshana Convention Centre’s air-conditioned hall is designed to comfortably host up to 1,000 guests. Built for various gatherings, from family events to religious ceremonies and cultural functions, the hall reflects a welcoming and adaptable space that aligns with the community’s needs.
