Training Programme of the Suvishesha Sangham for the Priests

The training programme of the Suvishesha Sangam for the Priests of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church was conducted at Catholicate Centre, Pattom from 08 to 10 January 2013. It started at 9.30 am with a prayer service by Most Rev. Jacob Mar Barnabas, the Chairman of the Suvishesha Sangam, at the tomb of the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis, Major Archbishop Catholicos and His Excellency Most Rev. Thomas Mar Anthonios, Curia Bishop, visited the Priests and gave messages. His Excellency Most Rev. Samuel Mar Irenios, Auxiliary Bishop of Trivandrum, celebrated Holy Qurbono on the cocluding day and gave message.

Classes were given in various subjects by Most Rev. Jacob Mar Barnabas, Rev. Fr. Antony Kakkanatt, Rev. Fr. Kuriakose Thadathil, Rev. Fr. Placid OIC, Rev. Fr. Daniel Poovannathil, Rev. Sr. Namitha SIC and Rev. Sr. Mary Prasad DM. Rev. Fr. Antony Kallil OIC, Rev. Sr. Francina D M, Smt Jiby Varghese, members of the Suvishesha Sangam at ecclesial level, and Rev. Fr.Abraham Thyparampil, Rev. Fr. James Elanjikal members of the Suvishesha Sangam at Eparchial level shared their experience. 32 priests from various Eparchies and ETRI participated in the training programme.
