At the quiet hour of three in the morning on Thursday, 18 September 2025, His Beatitude Ignatius Joseph III Younan, Patriarch of the Syriac Catholic Church of Antioch, arrived at Trivandrum International Airport in Kerala, India, for his fifth Apostolic Visit to the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church.
In the Airport’s reception hall, he was received with great warmth by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Catholicos, Major Archbishop-Catholicos of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, who greeted him with fraternal joy and wished him peace upon his safe arrival.
The Patriarch was accompanied by a distinguished delegation:

After a brief time of rest in the Airport’s reception hall, the Patriarch, together with his delegation, departed in the company of the Catholicos and proceeded to his residence at the Catholicate Centre in Trivandrum.
