The reconstructed St. Joseph’s Malankara Syrian Catholic Church at Karippoor was blessed by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos, the Major Archbishop of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, on 19 July 2012. Very Rev. Fr. Jose Kuruvila OIC, the Provincial of Bethany Navajeevan Province, many priests, religious and faithful were present during the function. Rev. Fr. Fr. Daniel Kadakampallil OIC,is the parish priest.
Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Mar Irenios, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Major Archieparchy of Trivandrum has been selected for the C. Kesavan memorial award instituted by C. Kesavan memorial Trust. The award consisting of Rs. 11,111, a citation and memento was presented at a function on Monday 16 July 2012 by Sri. Oommen Chandy, Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala. This award is given to His Excellency’s for his contribution in the field of Education and Religious Tolerance.
The award was instituted in memory of former Thiru–Kochi Chief Minister and SNDP Yogam General Secretary C. Kesavan

The ceremony started with the Holy Qurbono. Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Anthonios OIC, Curia Bishop and a member of the parish and Rt. Rev. Corbishop Thomas Kumbukatt, former Parish Priest concelebrated the Holy Qurbono. The entire parish community attended the solemn functions. Very Rev. Fr. John Areeckal is the parish priest.

New York, USA: During the Holy Qurbono celebrated at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Elmont, on 14 July 2012 Bro. Lintu Markos and Bro. Michael Edathil were ordained Deacons. Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius, Bishop of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Exarchate in USA conferred the ordinations. Most Rev. Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom, Bishop of Pathanamthitta, was a concelebrant of the Divine Liturgy.
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter, Rector of St. Joseph’s Seminary, New York and representative of Most Rev. William Murphy, the Bishop of Rockville, gave the homily. Many priests, religious and hundreds of lay faithful participated in the Divine Liturgy. At the public reception that followed the Holy Qurbono, Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius, Most Rev. Yoohanon Mar Chrysostom and Rt. Rev. Msgr. Peter Kochery, the proto-syncellus of the Syro- Malankara Catholic Exarchate in USA felicitated the newly ordained Deacons. Representing the Deacons, Dn. Lintu Markos thanked everyone.
Deacon Lintu is the son of Mr. Mathew and Mrs. Sherly settled in Chicago. Steve is his brother. Dn. Michael is the son of Mr. Philip and Mrs. Rajamma of the Syro-Malankara Catholic parish in Philadelphia. Eilyn, Joslyn and John are his sisters and brother.

The Syro-Malankara Catholic Church celebrated the 59th Feast of Commemoration of the Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios on 14 July 2012. The celebrations started with the Holy Qurbono. His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis was the main celebrant. Very Rev. Fr. Jose Mariadas Padipurackal OIC delivered the homily during the Holy Qurbono. His Grace Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos, His Excellencies Most Rev. Dr. Most Rev. Geevarghese Mar Divannasios, Most Rev. Dr. Joshua Mar Ignathios, Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thomas, Most Rev. Dr. Vincent Mar Paulos, Most Rev. Dr. Jacob Mar Barnabas, Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Anthonios, Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Mar Irenios and Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Stephanos and Rev. Priests concelebrated the Holy Qurbono. It was followed by the Dhoopaprarthana at the Tomb Chapel. The Celebrations concluded with the message and the apostolic blessing by His Beatitude. A large number of religious and faithful participated in the celebration

The Padayatra organized by the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement to the tomb of Servant of God Archbishop Mar Ivanios during his Feast of Commemoration started from Ranni-Perunnadu. His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Samuel Mar Irenios, the Auxiliary Bishop of Trivandrum was the main celebrant at the opening Holy Qurbono. He gave the homily.
The flag-off ceremony was inaugurated and blessed by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Vincent Mar Paulos (the Chairman, Youth Commission). Most Rev. Dr. Thomas Mar Anthonios OIC, Rev. Msgr. Jose Chamakalayil, Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalackal, the National Director, MCYM, Rev. Priests, Rev. Sisters, the leaders of MCYM and many lay faithful were present during the flag-off ceremony. The Padayatrees from various places will join the main Padayatra and reach the Tomb at 5.00 pm on Friday 13 July 2012. It will be followed by the Dhoopaprarthana at the Tomb Chapel.
His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos appointed Rev. Fr. Antony Vellappallil as the Spiritual Father of St. Aloysius Minor Seminary, Trivandrum.
He belongs to the Eparchy of Pala. He was ordained as a priest in 2009. He served as the Rector and Vice- Rector of Vocationist Father’s Study House. He holds a Diploma in Counselling from Pope John Paul II Institute.
