Trivandrum, 31 January–1 February 2025 – The Global Meet 2025 of the Malankara Catholic Youth Movement (MCYM) concluded on a high note at the Mar Gregorios Renewal Centre, Nalanchira. Organised under the auspices of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum, this significant gathering brought together over 100 youth leaders from various dioceses of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, fostering dialogue on leadership, faith, and community development.
Inauguration and Key Addresses
The program was inaugurated by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Mathews Mor Polycarpos, Chairman of the Youth Commission and Auxiliary Bishop of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. His inspiring address underscored the importance of youth as torchbearers of faith and stewards of the Church’s mission.
Monu Joseph, President of Global MCYM, presided over the event, while Linu Daniel, Global MCYM General Secretary, extended a warm welcome to the youth delegates. Setting the tone for the sessions that followed, Rev. Fr. Dr. Prabheesh George, Global MCYM Director, delivered an insightful introductory speech.

A highlight of the event was the special address by Msgr. Rev. Fr. Thomas Kayyalakkal, Former Global MCYM Director and Vicar General of the Major Archdiocese of Trivandrum. The event witnessed vibrant participation from youth leaders representing various dioceses of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. The two-day gathering concluded with a vote of thanks by Dinesh F, Secretary of Global MCYM, and Ranju Raju, Global Treasurer. Their gratitude extended to all who contributed to the success of the meet, from organisers to participants.
