Anchal: “In the face of crises, safeguarding one’s faith in God is not a choice but a necessity,” declared His Eminent Beatitude Cardinal Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos, Major Archbishop-Catholicos of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, during the closing session of the 24th Anchal Convention.
The event, which united the 19 parishes of the Anchal Ecclesiastical District, served as a spiritual retreat and a source of inspiration for hundreds of faithful. It was a reminder of the strength derived from faith and the shared mission of the Church to navigate life’s challenges with unwavering trust in God.
A Solemn Closing Session
The concluding session was presided over by Fr. Bovas, the District Vicar of the Anchal Ecclesiastical District, who led the Holy Qurbono. A team of dedicated clergy supported the service, including Fr. Alex Kalappila, Fr. Mathew Charivukalayil, Fr. Geevarghese (Jinoy) Charuvilayil, Fr. Geevarghese Maniparambil, Fr. Shoji Vechoorkarottu, Fr. Joshua Kochuvilayil, Fr. Abraham (Rony) Muruppel, and Fr. Christy Palavila Kizhakkathil. Their collective participation underscored the unity and collaborative spirit of the Church in the region.
