Cardinal Mar George Alencherry, major archbishop of the Syro-Malabar Church, has been elected as the president of the Kerala Catholic Bishops’ Council (KCBC). Kozhikode Bhadrasana Bishop Varghese Chakkalakkal was elected as the Vice President and Bathery Eparchy Bishop Joseph Mar Thomas was elected as the Secretary General. The election was held at the KCBC conference which concluded yesterday at the POC.
