Dr. Thomas Mor Anthonios, the Bishop of the Gurgaon-Delhi Eparchy, concluded his pastoral visit to the region. Arriving on November 14, 2024, and departing on November 22, 2024, Mor Anthonios’s visit was marked by moments of prayer, celebration, and deep connection with the faithful. The final leg of his trip in Fujairah highlighted the vibrancy of the Malankara Catholic Church in this region.
A Joyful Welcome in Fujairah
On November 20, Mor Anthonios visited the Syro-Malankara Catholic community in Fujairah, where he was warmly received by Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath, the UAE Gulf Coordinator, and the office-bearers of the Fujairah community. Their prayerful reception was a testament to the strong bond between the clergy and the laity in the region.
The highlight of the visit was the celebration of the Holy Qurbono at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The service, led by Mor Anthonios, was co-celebrated by Fr. Louis Irudayasamy, the parish priest, Rev. Fr. John Thundiyath Cor-Episcopo, and Fr. Balasamy SDB, Rector of Fujairah St. Mary’s School.
